We have endeavored to improve the accessibility on our park, great care and thought is always taken when upgrading or when further improvements are being made, our intentions are to introduce more and better facilities, to make Polruan holidays a even more accessible and enjoyable place to stay. We do fully understand the needs for many of our visitors and therefore we are full-time on site and more then willing to give assistance or advice, we are here to help, so please do not hesitate to ask.
*We have a relatively small park set in approximately three acres within three main areas, we cater for static caravans, tents, touring caravans, and motor homes we do not cater for very large motor homes (above 7.50 mts).
*A brochure is available by post along with a copy of this Access Statement if required, we can be contacted either by email or telephone, further information can be found on our website.
*Entrance to the park is by electric barrier (top field) we have just ten well spaced static caravans in a circular garden like setting, with seven touring/motor home hard-standings pitches situated in the centre, all hard-standings have 16 amp electric hook-ups with space for parking and awing.
*We have a very strict 5 mph speed restriction in force on our park access is very good, tarmac one-way road although we do have speed humps, we do have low level lighting in this part of the park. *The second area we have fifteen grass pitches well spaced with parking, all have electric hook-ups the upper part is level and then gently slops towards the third area.
*The third area has gate access to ten pitches, four 16 amp hook-up points again well spaced with parking and gently slops, we do have a further area for ball games etc.
Reception, shop, and information room
*We have two designated parking spaces for arrival at reception.
*The Reception, shop and information room is situated at the top end of the camping field (second area)
*The approach to this area is level decking, with just a very small threshold at the main doors
the area throughout is good and entirely accessible to wheelchairs, pushchair's, etc, the shop sells everyday needs and more opening times can be found on the reception door.
*The information room has full information on attractions and activities also a public phone with useful and emergence numbers, books to loan and we do have free Wi-Fi.
*The access to the Laundrette is level with a small step into the Laundrette this has a single door.
*The washing machine and tumble dryer are front loaders and coin operated.
*For a extra small charge we will wash and dry your laundry for you.
*Unfortunately our caravans are not accessible for wheelchairs.
*All caravans have either two or three steps at the main entrance doors, doors are 2'6'' wide or more.
*All caravans have parking beside or in front, with at lest 6mt space between each van.
*All caravans have heating in lounge area and main bedroom all have microwaves and showers.
*All caravans are fitted with carbon monoxide and smoke detectors(checked weekly) also fire extinguishers
*All caravans have television with freeview DVD player and remote controls.
*All caravans are non smoking.
*Our Toilet/showers washroom are situated between our static park (top area) and our camping field (second area) this area is all very well lit at night.
*Access to the showers and toilet is level.
*Both men & Women showers have easy access with three cubical in each, with a door and curtain. *Woman showers have one double shower and one shower has a pull down seat.
*Men’s conveniences have three basins, two toilets and two urinals, urinals have a step up.
*Ladies conveniences have three basins three toilets, the toilet cubicles are less than three feet wide so would not be suitable for someone who will need hoists or cannot be lifted from a wheelchair before entering the cubical.
*The refuse and recycling area is situated opposite the information room there is a small step and you do have to entrance through a gate this area is now under cover and well lit at night.
*We do have a children’s play area, with enough room for ball games etc
*There is a swing for children under the age of thirteen, with fitted safety mats integrated beneath.
*We have many benches and seating around the park.
*You are welcome to have a barbecue but blocks must be used, supplied in the camping compound.

*The local bus stops outside our main gate, times available in the information room or at reception.
*Most of our signs are new and are green and white, most with symbols.
*Mobile phone coverage is good and we do have a public phone in the information room with a list of medical services, taxis, vets, and many other useful telephone numbers.
*We do have a fruit and vegetable man call on the site four mornings a week, he will stop outside your tent/caravan if asked to do so. Updated 02/01/2018
